Description

The World Timezones dataset includes the boundaries of the TZ timezones across the world, capturing both standard time (winter) and daylight savings (summer).

Collection Methodology

The World Timezones boundaries dataset captures the TZ timezones across the world, as of TZ 2009r, TZ timezones are matched with the corresponding region using country FIPS code. There is a companion map for the TZ timezones used in Antarctica stations. The geometries are primarily derived from the FIPs data, augmented with data presented in the pages for the maps of the United States, Canada, Russia and China.
