- Description
The NOAA Average Precipitation Days dataset includes the average number of days with precipitation in each month in the United States.
- Collection Methodology
The NOAA Average Precipitation Days dataset measures the average number of days in each month with precipitation. A day is recorded if at least 0.01 inch of precipitation is recorded at a NOAA weather monitoring station. Mean values are calculated over the period of years indicated. This is the smallest amount of precipitation numerically recorded, and includes the liquid water equivalent of frozen precipitation.
