The US Census Bureau Food Stamps dataset includes the number of families receiving food stamps in the United States.

Collection Methodology

Food Stamps data is collected via The Census' Small Area Income & Poverty Estimates (SAIPE), which provides more current estimates of selected income and poverty statistics than the most recent decennial census. The purpose of SAIPE is to provide administrators of federal programs with current statistics on the demonstrated need of places. For more information on income and poverty estimates.
