Description

The US EPA Superfund Sites dataset includes the location of confirmed and potential Superfund sites in the United States based on the US EPA's CERCLIS Sites Reports. A Superfund site is an uncontrolled or abandoned place where hazardous waste is located, possibly affecting local ecosystems or people.

Collection Methodology

A Superfund Site is a place where hazardous waste is located. This dataset includes the location of all recorded potential and confirmed Superfund sites in the United States.
